7 Easy Steps to Finding a Profitable Niche Market Website

What Is A Niche Market Website?
A market is comprised of all the buyers and sellers interested in a particular product or service in a defined geographical area (areas such as local, regional, national, or international). Based on this definition, you can understand that even large well-financed companies have to focus in any given market to efficiently use their resources to find and serve their ideal customers.

Most successful businesses are serving a specific and profitable niche market. A niche market is the term for a highly focused market that is a subset of a broader market. A niche market website is one that is designed specifically to serve that ideal customer for that highly focused subset market. A carefully researched, and executed niche market website is the key that will unlock the door to the potential for exponential income growth.

So, if a large multi-national company must focus on a specific subset of a market to be profitable. What does this mean for you? It means that you must hone in on a more specific subset of the broad market that is largely free of direct competition from the all the big major players.

Also, you want adequate high converting traffic to ensure that each day you have a sufficient number of visitors to your niche market website to give you opportunities to convert them into buyers. Of course, your number of visitors and sales will be lower than for the large companies, but this allows you the opportunity to become a major player in a niche market that is largely underserved or unnoticed.

Niche Market Example
Let’s use the jewelry market as an example to illustrate the difference between a broad market and a very specific niche market. In this example, the broad market will be the “traditional wedding rings” market. The more highly focused niche market would be the “non-traditional ethical and eco-friendly hand-crafted wedding rings” market. You can see with this more specific niche market avoids direct competition with the major players in the traditional jewelry market.

There will be some competition with the smaller companies but this can be avoided by honing in on an even more specific underserved subset of the non-traditional wedding rings market. One way to do this is to be a one-stop niche market website for the ideal customer. By offering such services as eco-friendly wedding invitations, virtual eco-friendly wedding planning, online photo sharing of the wedding day will make the niche market more specific and eliminate more competition.

Niche Market Research
Of course, research has to be done to ensure that the finely honed niche market is profitable. If it is, then it provides the opportunity to reap the financial rewards and possible become a dominant, major player in that niche market.

The trend is for niche markets to be very focused. This is a very good idea because it helps you to zero in on your ideal customer. With an ideal customer firmly in mind, you will know your customers’ age, income, budget, geographical area, opinions and more. With such information, you can more wisely use your business resources to attract and serve these customers.

Of course, each product or service has to be researched and tested to determine if it has a good potential to be profitable. There are tools to help determine whether or not a niche market is likely to be profitable. But such analysis is outside of the scope of this article but will be taught in detail in the Pretty Please Passive Income.com passive income classes.

For the above non-traditional wedding ring example the market research could indicate that the ideal customer is a male between the ages of 24 to 35 years, works full-time, has some college education, strong ethical concerns about jewelry in which the mining or production would adversely affect the workers and the environment, average income is above $35,00, budget for wedding ring is $500 to $1,500; computer literate, likely to purchase wedding ring between October and February; flat band with gems as opposed to a large solitaire because of fiancée's active lifestyle, and so much more. But from such free internet market research information, you can tailor your niche website to your ideal customer.

Easy Steps for Selecting a Profitable Niche Market Website
So here are the 7 steps to finding a profitable niche market. Each step will be more clearly explained and applied in the Pretty Please Passive Income.com passive income classes.

1. Generate Niche Market Ideas. Select a focused, specific, niche market based on:

  • Your passion or expertise,
  • A market you are willing to learn, or
  • Current market trends.

Also, use professional classifications to find a niche and closely related niches. For example:

  • Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) System Search (online),
  • Wikipedia.org; WorldCat.org,
  • Online Search: “keyword” + “classification” or : “keyword” + “major categories,
  • Ask a Reference Librarian for Assistance.

2. Conduct Niche Market Research. You need to be able to know your ideal customer in terms of age, sex,  income, education, geographical area, any other pertinent information. Here are some ways to do this:

  • You can talk to friends and relatives, or browse relevant online magazines.
  • Visit the websites of the big major players, and also of  smaller companies that will be your competitors
  • Online market search and you might find valuable free market information about your ideal customer.

For the jewelry example, a good market search query could be: “non-traditional wedding jewelry market demographics. With such online market search you will find valuable free market information about your ideal customer. Like everything else concerning your niche market website, be specific in researching and describing your ideal customer. You need to be able to know your ideal customer in terms of age, sex, race, income, education, geographical area, any other pertinent information.

3. Generate a Keyword Seed List. Based on the niche market you selected in step 2 above, set another 30 minutes and write a seed list of keywords. This will be discussed more in the passive income classes, but for now go to the top search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing and type in your best keywords and write down all of the keywords that might auto-populate as you type. Also, browse the articles that appear in the search results for excellent keywords.

Using these techniques, these keywords were found for the example jewelry niche market: “unique wedding rings, wooden wedding rings, alternative wedding rings, recycled sterling wedding bands, beautiful small diamond wedding rings.” All of the keywords might not be exactly what you want but they help you to get your creativity flowing. So keep searching until you know you have found the correct keywords.

4. Research Your Keywords for the Potential to be Profitable. You want to use the best keywords for your niche market that is not too competitive and has sufficient traffic. You can use these keywords from the step above for landing pages, website SEO, blogging, and more. This also will be discussed in more detail in the Pretty Please Passive Income.com passive income courses.

5. Select a Domain Name for Your Website. You can use an excellent keyword from Step 2 above to name your website. If  you select a long tail keyword (3 or more words) and use it as in your domain name it might help you to get targeted customer to your website.

For example this is a domain name based on a long tail key word: (Your Name) Beautiful Recycled Small Diamond Rings.com. Regardless of whether you will use a long tail keyword in your domain name, you want a domain name that brings the ideal customer to your website. Such a visitor is ready and willing to become your customer.

You are primarily interested in website visitors who have a mindset to purchase your product or service. If your domain name were (Your Name) Jewelry.com and you are trying to attract wedding ring customers, then this domain name is too broad. It will attract many customers not interested in wedding rings such as fashion jewelry, pageant jewelry, couture jewelry, etc.

6. Test Your Product or Service. You can test your product and keywords with paid ads or with free or low-cost methods. Again these methods will be discussed in the PrettyPleasePassiveIncome.com classes.

7. Build a Profitable Niche Market Website. Take your niche market website online. Once you start to make money you can create more profit centers on that niche market website. Additionally, now that you have some experience, you can create more profitable niche market websites and your profit will grow exponentially.

As you can see a focused, highly honed, specific niche market can be quite profitable. The above examples were based on product and services. However, you can use the same steps to create passive income by becoming a wedding affiliate marketer, creating niche market membership websites, selling e-books and so much more.

3. Why Is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Important To Your Website?

July 12, 2016 By: Editorial Staffcomment

3. Why Is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Important To Your Website?

One of the reasons many people are not successful in generating passive income is that their web pages do not rank on the first page of the search engine results page (SERP). There are many factors involved in enhancing SERP ranking. One of them is search engine optimization (SEO).

Effective SEO will bring you organic (free) targeted website traffic from internet users by them typing search queries (relevant keywords) into search engines. There are three major search engines: Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Google is the largest of the three and is the leader in setting SEO standards and practices.

Generally, there are five steps to creating your website. They are: 1. planning, 2. design, 3. development, 4. SEO, and 5. launch of your website on the internet. Keep these in mind so that you smoothly work from one step to another. Equally important, each step when properly done will helpful to users, and to search engine indexing.

SEO will send free targeted visitors (your potential customers) to your website. This is why SEO is important to your website. SEO helps you to generate passive income from highly targeted visitors–and you are not paying for the traffic.

In a way SEO results in you getting free, quality “advertising” when your website is listed in a search list by Google, Yahoo, or Bing–especially when your website ranks among the top 10 search results. Therefore, SEO is a subject you want to master.

Pretty Please Passive Income.com is discussing SEO now because in reality it affects all of five steps for creating a website. SEO is often ignored or done badly. However with the correct use of SEO, you could rank higher than your competitors and will benefit from highly targeted free web traffic.

Below are some very useful SEO definitions to help you understand SEO and how it benefits your website:

301 Redirect: This is a permanent redirect that lets search engines know a web page or website has been deleted, or permanently moved to a new location. A 301 redirect often includes the web address or its hyperlink (permanent redirect) to where the URL has been moved.

404 Error, ‘Not Found Page’: A standard computer network error message that indicates that the server could not find what was requested by the user in the search query.

Alt Tag: This is text describing an image. An alt tag should include a keyword, if appropriate. An alt tag is helpful for the visually impaired. The screen reader will read aloud the text written in the Alt tag.

Analytics: This is a tracking software that provides statistical information on a website about traffic, keywords, etc. that is useful for SEO, and marketing purposes.

Anchor text: This is the hyperlinked text (clickable text) to a linked page. Anchor text should be written with the relevant keywords that are appropriate for the linked page.

Authority Page: This is determined by a logarithmic scale (analyzing keywords, traffic, links, content, etc.) to determine the ranking of a webpage. An authority page will have a very high SERP ranking

Backlink: This is a link coming into a web page from another website. For search engine indexing, the greater the number of backlinks (based on relevant keywords), then the higher the SERP rank for that page because the many backlinks indicate that it is an authority page.

Black Hat SEO: These are SEO practices that violate Google's webmaster guidelines by artificially enhancing SERP to quickly increase page rank. Such practices can result in the offending website being banned by Google and the offending website not appearing in the search results.

Blog Monetization: This is to convert an asset (valuable item) into cash, typically by selling the asset (for example ads, services, physical products, and affiliate product).

Blog/Weblog: This is a website which regularly updates its content (posts) which are typically displayed with the most recent post appears first.

Google: The leading search engine. It helps establish the standards for good SEO standards and practices.

Indexing: The process of a search engine collecting and storing data about a website to provide accurate information for search inquiries.

Keyword: This is a word or phrase that describes a product, service, or brand. Keywords are used in search queries by users, and by search engines for indexing.

Link: This is a word or phrase that cross reference to other documents or files internally or externally. An internal link is within the website such as a navigation bar. An external link is outside of the website and link to another website. Links should contain keywords, and be clear and helpful for users, and for search engines indexing.

Meta tag: This is a brief description of a web page that will appear on a SERP as a short description of a web page. There is a SEO debate whether a meta tag is useful. It is probably best to keep the meta tag rich in relevant keywords but short (160 characters or less).

Rank: This is the search query numbered placement in search results list. Generally, the goal is to rank on the first page of the SERP, preferably in the top ten.

Rel=Canonical: This tag may prevent Google from viewing a page as containing duplicate content, and thus might help prevent the adverse effect duplicate pages have on SERP ranking.

Responsive Web Design (RWD): This is a mobile device-friendly design. A RWD which meets Google’s SEO standards for mobile devices will rank higher since more searches are done on mobile devices than desktop computers.

Search Engine: This is computer software that identifies keywords or phrases in an internet document based on the search query provided by the user.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization): This consists of methods and practices to increase the ranking of a web pages to the top of the SERP since most users will only visit pages listed on the first page of a SERP.

SERP (Search Engine Results Page): The list generated after a user types a search query into a search engine (for example, the Google search engine list of search results).

Server: This is a computer that provides data to other computers.

Site speed: This is how quickly a website page loads. Quick page speeds enhance the users’ experience, also enhances higher SERP for the website.

Sitemap / XML Sitemap: A taxonomy/outline of a website's content to help users and search engines find information quickly. XML Sitemap differs from a sitemap because it can communicate with search engines (for example: letting the search engines know the website has new or modified information).

Social Tags: Such hyperlinked tags on a web page to these social tags (such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, Twitter etc.) will enhance the ranking for a web page.

Title Tag: A page title, or document title that is often used by search engines as the title of a search listing on the SERP. A well-written, keyword rich title tag will help users and search engines to understand what the web page is about.

URL (Uniform Resource Locator): This is the global address of documents or resources on the internet.

User experience: This is a website that is easy to navigation, informative, and understandable.

White Hat SEO: These are SEO practices that are in compliance with of Google’s webmaster guidelines.

WordPress Category and Tags: The properly categorizing and tagging of posts in WordPress to enhance the user's experience, and also to assist in search engines correctly indexing a website's information.

The above definitions are just the first steps to understanding SEO. A first page ranking in a Google search results list might not happen overnight.

But over time, first page ranking is possible with good SEO standards and practices. To help you, there will be SEO training and exercises in the Pretty Please Passive Income.com training program. To be among the first to be notified of this training, please join our email mailing list.

WordPress.org vs. WordPress.com: Which One Is Right For You?

WordPress.org vs. WordPress.com: Which One Is Right For You?

If you want to generate multiple streams of passive income, then at some point you are going to have to get your own website. We suggest that you create a WordPress website. There are two main categories of WordPress–but more details about those later. First, a brief description of the technical side so that you will be a knowledgeable businessperson. We want you to make a good decision.

WordPress is a free online, open-source content management system (CMS) website creation tool. It is based on PHP and MySQL. For some open-source software, the copyright holder allows license holders to study, modify, and distribute the software. Open-source software is often developed in a worldwide collaborative public manner. This explains why WordPress is often at the forefront of ever changing technology.

CMS is a computer application that supports the creation and modification of digital content and can support multiple users working collaboratively. Generally, PHP is an open-source scripting language used to create dynamic web pages; and MYSQL is an open-source relational database management system for processing data in a database.

Therefore, WordPress is the result of this collaborative worldwide authoring. It is a plugin-and-template system which makes website customization extremely easy for the end user. Over 25% of the top 10 million websites use WordPress. Furthermore, it is the most popular blogging system for over 60 million blog websites.

Now there are two categories of WordPress: (1) WordPress.org, and (2) WordPress.com. The important question is: Which one is right for you? Let us outline some important differences between the two.

WordPress.org (you have to pay to host your website with a web hosting company)
1. You own the domain name which you have to pay to register each year.
2. You have complete control ownership and content of your website.
3. You can freely use themes to change the look of your website.
4. You have full access to source code to modify as you please.
5. You can freely use the many free and commercial plugins to customize and add functionality to your website.
6. You can fully monetize your website and have free have any type of e-commerce for your website.
7. You own your website's traffic.

WordPress.com (You do not pay for your free subdomain website hosting.)
1. You have more limited control of your website.
2. The url of your website will be something like, yourwebsite.wordpress.com.  You do not own the website domain name under the free plan with ads. You have to pay a monthly fee to remove ads. You have to pay extra to upgrade and to not have a subdomain url as your website address.
3. You do not own the traffic to your website under the free subdomain plan.

So given the above information can you make a good decision now? Do you know which
WordPress is right for you: (1) WordPress.org or (2) WordPress.com?

Let us help you. If you are interested in progressive e-commerce and want a long-term presence on the internet, then WordPress.org is the right choice for you. The website creation tool, plugins, and templates help make WordPress.org websites scalable from the smallest e-commerce website to the largest Fortune 500 company.

The above-mentioned costs for domain registration, web hosting, and other related costs are modest. They are the necessary first steps to multiple streams of passive income. If you have budget concerns, then start saving now so that you can move to financial freedom with online passive income. In a later post we will provide you with information on how to get a WordPress.org website.

Salvation Call

Salvation Call

John 3:16 (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9 (KJV)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Ask For Salvation Now.

Believe in Christ now before it is too late!

Isaiah 55:1-9 (KJV)

1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
